Looks like Mc Donalds' McRib won't be the only pressed pork patty in town.

Burger King is about to offer up some competition. The fire-grilled burger-maker unveiled its summer BBQ menu on Wednesday, which includes the Rib Sandwich along with 12 other items.

The menu, also featuring a Memphis BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich and a Carolina BBQ Tendercrisp Sandiwch, will debut on May 21.

While a Burger King publicist wouldn't confirm if this menu is intended to lure customers away from the McDonald's McRib, the Burger King rib sandwich does bear a BBQ-themed resemblance.

Insects are the ideal food of the future, according to a new United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization report.

In "Edible insects: Future prospects for food and feed security," presented at a news conference in Rome on Monday, the group's etnomophagy experts shared compelling evidence suggesting that increased intake of insects would promote health, wealth and a cleaner environment for both rural and urban communities around the globe.

Consumption of insects like locusts, crickets or larvae is very common in parts of Asia, South America, Mexico and Africa, due in large part to their high nutritional value. Insects beat out both meat and fish in protein content and quality, and they're also rich in fiber and healthy micronutrients including copper, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, selenium and zinc.

Insects adapt so quickly to climate change, that there would be few barriers to gathering from the wild or farming at any altitude or latitude around the planet - making them a cheap and eco-friendly food source. They also have a very low risk of transmitting disease to humans, unlike farmed beef, pork and poultry.

The agitated sandwich shop customer disliked the pickles. Now she's in one with the cops.

A Massachusetts woman who ordered a steak-and-cheese sub at a subway station was so angry about "too many pickles" on her sandwich that she punched an employee and shoved two jars of pickles at her, transit police said Monday.

Everyone knows Pinot Grigio, the northern Italian white wine beloved for its...hmmmm... That’s hard to pin down. Sometimes it seems as though Pinot Grigio is mostly beloved for its lack of presence; a sort of pleasant blandness, like iceberg lettuce or Kenny G's music.
 
So, given that, what happened to Pinot Bianco? Somewhere along the road to grape-variety fame, Grigio’s paler-skinned cousin wandered off into the bushes and got lost. That doesn’t mean there aren’t people making Pinot Bianco; in fact there are many of them, and the wines are often very good. And more to the point, on average they are unquestionably better than most Pinot Grigios.
