Pssst! Got a sec to chat?

We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here.

Consider the weekly Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic.

You can always find it from the link in the left rail, or by bookmarking http://eatocracy.cnn.com/category/buzz/coffee-klatsch/.

An unknown white powder has been found at hotels near the site of the Super Bowl, New Jersey authorities said today, and hazardous materials teams and a bomb squad have responded.

In New York, authorities also were investigating the contents of a letter sent to the Manhattan office of former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, two law enforcement officials said.

The letter, opened in the mail room, contained white powder, according to law enforcement officials.

In New Jersey, the site of Sunday's Super Bowl, an unidentified substance was delivered to two hotels in Carlstadt and one in East Rutherford, said Jeanne Baratta, chief of staff at the Bergen County Executive's Office.

I just love it when the high for the day hits right before sunrise. Grrr ... rather Brrr. ;)

An example of "Be careful what you wish for" –
SIL called last nite complaining about the whether where she lives in Floriduh's Panhandle. Formerly from the New England area, she said, "If it's going to be this cold and nasty, it should be snowing." Lo' & behold, overnight she got her wish. Mwah-ha-ha-ha!

This more than proves the point that the Panhandle of Floriduh isn't really part of the Sunshine state. It's actually part of Alabama & Georgia, but someone drew the borderline wrong.

Good morning to all. Hope you're staying warm and dry thru this nasty Winter.

Happy Monday, everyone! Was that the lamest Pro Bowl ever or what?

The commentators were saying at the end that the NFL wanted to end the tradition but decided on this new approach instead. I say just name the guys as Pro's, give them each some extra $$ and lots of advertising, and move on.

How was the weekend? It was snowy here on Saturday and dreary yesterday. Dreary again today. I see our friends in the SE are going to have some weather fun this week, I hope everyone stays warm and safe!
