Pssst! Got a sec to chat?

We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here.

Consider the weekly Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic.

You can always find it from the link in the left rail, or by bookmarking http://eatocracy.cnn.com/category/buzz/coffee-klatsch/.

Oooohhhh Myyyyyy! Damn, what a game! I really thought it was over, till the interception. GAME OVER!!!! Look out Denver! See you in New York!

Thanks for the phantom calls and non calls, Refs! Thanks for throwing a game-ending pick to a double covered Crabs to end the game, Kap! One of three turnovers, Kap! Hawks hung 20 on you in the second, Defense! I was thinking when the last drive started...."this is how legends are born, Kap...."

Looked like he was going to do it, then ZAP. Season over. Could have gone either way. Kap gets it a little higher, Crabs catches it, Niners win. Sherm got that by his finger tips.

No hard feelings, but go Broncos.........that's how much I like the 'Hawks, RC. That's how much. =)

RC's comment earlier got me to whip out a smoked turkey leg tonight I've been hoarding in my fridge for a bit. The last time I had one from the same store I ate cold.........I may have had the munchies. Long story short, I think I'd prefer it hot this time. I googled "best way to reheat smoked turkey" and got a myriad of results. Seems I'll be taking a little from each opinion and forge my own path, cause that's how I roll.

At the risk of beating a dead camel, that's what my friend said afterwards. It was still very tasty jerky.

          January 15, 2014 at 1:14 pm |
        • Weeds

That does sound good. My local Asian store sells different cuts of steak sliced jerky thin;. I prefer the lean cuts. I use that to make jerky using marinades and sometimes just good'ol S&P. During hunting season my dad would put a rack on a cookie sheet, put the sliced beef on that and into an oven set at as low as it can go over night and we'd have jerky in time for the hunt.

A trick to cutting raw steak thin – put it in the freezer until it becomes firm, but not frozen.

How could we miss "anything to do with PETA"? It's one of my favorite breads.

Tired doing homemade pizzas with Lil Biddle last night and the kitchen looked like Studio 54 by the time we ate with flour everywhere.

Good morning all...Had to fight my way to the office through all of the dancing in the streets of Denver. Now maybe we can hear about something other than legal MJ...

Good morning! I have to agree with RH's picks for the Super Bowl contenders.

Anything other than footyball happen this weekend?

A couple of pretty good games yesterday, and the majority of Pickers are 3-1 so far. I will make this prediction, either the NFC or the AFC will win the Super Bowl this year. You heard it here First. My picks for the Divisional Championships are……Seattle in a tight one over the 40 Whinners and Denver over that other East Coast team. Enjoy your Monday All.

      3-1

Still say it will come down to the Sea Chickens vs the Horsemeat. Still on the fence as to the champ.

Afc or NFC? Bold statement! I should bet on both just in case!

Oh, ye of little faith. Niners have been picked against by most the last few weeks, yet here they are! This is going to be an epic Sunday! Yeehaw!
