Good news Twinkies fans, your long-missing snack fix is due back on shelves on July 15.

The announcement was made by Daren Metropoulos, principal of Metropoulos & Co., one of the two companies that bought the rights to Twinkies and other snack brands from the bankrupt Hostess Brands earlier this year.

The new Twinkies box will look very similar to the old one, with the addition of the line "The sweetest comeback in the history of ever." The price will stay the same as last fall – $3.99 for a box of 10.

"America wanted Hostess back - they wanted the original," said Metropoulos.

New slogan should be "Now with 100% less union labor"

If only they were coming back healthier... Gluten-Free (made with almond or coconut flour), sugar-free (sweetened with stevia) and made with coconut oil/cream instead of the partially hydrogenated filling it currently has. Alas, GiGi's imaginary world does not exist!

Nope, not healthier. It will be whatever sells the most, and most quickly.

Gluten free does not equal healthier, unless one has an intolerance

Now all they have to do is bring back Ding Dongs (that's what she said).

What they need to do is form a series of labor unions, so they can enjoy the same level of success that Hostess did.

Im angry they didnt take the opportunity to finally start selling Tasykakes. By far the best snack cake. Instead we got more little debbie crap and a TON of new generics.
