    i uaed to eat up fresh fish from local boats anchored on the Strait of Bosporus in Istanbul... there was a revolving boat system there, the boats that were not there at that time was bc they were fishing till the boats anchored were done w their fresh fish catches... it was simple... inside a loaf of bread, a tray of fried fish w salad greens and sauce wrapped for hot fresh bites in bread. i miss it and the smell of the Strait of Bosporus. thank you Istanbul ;) love you always !

    Small fish shacks where locals hang are the best. Their fresh catches are simply prepared – grilled, blackened or fried - and the beer is on ice. The regular customers share funny, drunken stories and there's no jukebox.

    A lot of fish and seafood nowadays are farmed. That means, in the end, you'll eat what they throw at them. You'll eat animals that are living in cages, obese and mentally diminished.

    Excellent seafod must be wild (half of the featured pictures actually show cheap, farmed seafod). Salmon, shrimp, etc., those were luxurious delicacies two decades ago, but are now mass-produced nonsense. Some of the reviewed restaurants actually serve spiced-up industrial foods. Be more selective.
