Pssst! Got a sec to chat?

We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here.

Consider the daily Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic.

Good morning all from a very snowy Denver. Already have five inches with another six to eight expected.

    Books? Check.
    Beer? Check
    Internet? Check
    Movies on cable? Check.

Heck, I can hibernate here for weeks...

    Happy Saturday all!

I watched Exit Humanity on Netflix the other night. Was one of those movies you never heard about but should have been a blockbuster

I love imaginary numbers and I celebrate Tau day. Khanacademy is awesome, I've watched his tutorials for years; at first hoping they'd put me to sleep (they kept me up later than I wished). Bernoulli was an amazing genius; no one can live without bumping into one of his discoveries. By the time I was introduced to Euler everything was a blur, I didn't care who he was. All I knew is he made my life that more difficult.

Now, after seeing that video and thinking back I wish we all had more time to really learn, to grok in school, than just to digest and spit out sh..information.

Great video, it made my Friday. dy = 3 r squared dr over 3!

My day is looking brighter, literally and figuratively. Literally – woke to torential downpours and 42 degrees, now sunny and about 54. Figuratively – a meeting diety has smiled upon me and canceled the two hour meeting this morning, I finished my month end reports, and Mr. Big is OOO today. My calendar is now clear for the rest of the day! Hmmmm

You have a nice exit strategy. Just don't forget to put boots on the ground to get it done.

"cultivate an organic growth paradigm" That was GOOD! Some of us just spend way too much time in meetings, thus the allure of this place and just being silly. :)

HA! Not that time. Since I've been dealing with Ed Zachary the kind of corporate twaddle y'all are batting about, I felt the need to sarcasm my way thru some of the "process" rhetoric I've been swallowing – and spitting out back at my desk. Thankfully it's a short walk. :)

I did the shrimp, ragin cajun style, medium heat. They prepare all seafood with the spices all sealed in a plastic bag, and they serve on a table lined with wax paper. You make an unholy mess of yourself (bibs are provided), but the food is SO GOOD.

Winter suxx. I went to sleep after watching the weather team on my local news confidently forecast 2-5 inches of snow by noon Friday. I woke up to 11 inches and still snowing. I was done with winter back in November, this is all just way beyond overkill for me.

On that note, my photo caption is "Ha, all those poor little people who support me are all back in the Northeast having a blizzard. I'm the salesman with the best sales so far this year, and I'm off on this junket to Aruba...."
