While you're frying up some eggs and bacon, we're cooking up something else: a way to celebrate today's food holiday. February is National Hot Breakfast Month! Nutritionists will tell you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Starting out on a full stomach helps keep you alert and focused well into the day. If you’re not a morning person, taking the extra time cook, eat and clean up might not sound worth it. Oatmeal might be the perfect solution. It can be made quickly in a microwave and you can customize it to your taste. Add some fruit and nuts and you’ve got yourself a warm, filling, balanced meal. If time isn’t an issue, the full egg and bacon breakfast certainly is an option. Biscuits fresh from a cast-iron skillet with fluffy eggs and crispy bacon make getting to the weekend easier. A hot breakfast on a cold day is the perfect motivation to get out of bed and get going. What’s your favorite hot breakfast? |

Baked oatmeal... Can be made when you have half an hour, customized to your tastes, and heats up in about a minute.
A perfectly cooked cheese omelette with Cheddar or American ( I mean real, 100% American cheese, not that fake crud ), and a thick bagel and cream cheese on the side.....Heaven.
Conversely, french toast and a side of over medium eggs would be great.
Dang....loving eggs, only halfway through my night shift, and reading this article make for a tortuous combination.
Hot breakfasts are the BEST! So cozy, especially when it's pouring or snowing outside! :D
That would be someone's take on a Full English Breakfast, but I think they forgot the baked beans.
My favorite breakfast is hot, heavily buttered, buttermilk biscuits and crispy bacon, washed down with a mug of hot chocolate.
What is that in the photo?
