Pssst! Got a sec to chat?
We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here.
Consider the daily Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic.
Any juicy gossip from the BBQ conference?
I gotz something you can embed--
“I'm for truth, no matter who tells it. I'm for justice, no matter who it is for or against. I'm a human being, first and foremost, and as such I'm for whoever and whatever benefits humanity as a whole.”
― Malcolm X
Thank you very much !!! I made it to 48 & just found out that the pipes are delivering water :-( no shower or coffee on a work night ?? Hope everyone is nice & warm ! This old house is really something else ...
Are not delivering water :( 2 chicken heaters under house
Good thing you didn't have any broken pipes. Friends that live in a pre-civil war log house had the same problem when they first moved in. Ultimately they insulated inside the crawl space walls, floors and pipes. They even wrapped a pipe heater cord around the water for those extra cold and windy days.
Has anyone heard from Jerv or TWO lately?
I think they disappeared along with Queen...
Season six of the best show on television returns on April 7.
Which will be some relief given the level of dreck currently filling the airwaves.
Let me guess: Madmen?
Bingo. Best thing on the air since "LA Law" left us over twenty years ago...
Was going to call in sick today, then office called and said power out, do not report to office! Scored a free one today. :)
Scoooooooooooooooore.......Now feed me...plz?
Well, power restored, but I'm still not going to make it in...waiting for the doc to call me back. Ugh.
Moderation levels seem to be tuned to high today.
Due to a High level of Flatulence in the DC area...possible cause–Presidential Parade...Moderation levels will remain at Red levels.
Plan on levels being at or above red until further notice. This town smells like BS most of the time!
A wise man once suggested to me that everything in moderation is good – even moderation.
Did someone say flatulence?
LOVE this movie. And yes, I am older than 10 – but younger than Brother Richard.
That's a range of a lot of centuries. Just sayin
We have pharts older than you Sonny...Live and Learn.
Good morning! Another chilly day here, its all of 4 degrees right now, woo hoo. I think the next time we might get above freezing isn't until next Tuesday.
Have a great day!!
Which next Tuesday ?
It's the "C U next Tuesday" next Tuesday. That's what that is.
I am sooooo hoping that its the one early next week! To be completely honest, though, I'd much rather deal with this cold rather than have 100 degree heat and broken air conditioner.
The radar is picking up a line of thundershowers which extends from a
point 9 miles NNE of Secaucus, New Jersey, along a line and 6 miles
either side of the line to a point 5 miles SSW of Fond Du Lac.
However, the radar is also picking up a squadron of Russian ICBMs... so I wouldn't
sweat the thundershowers.

Good am all! The girl in the pic has on her fave VD shirt (no no, not that...valentines day...lol) & he still has his nose in the paper. Thanks for the alarm clock, AleeD, I tend to oversleep on Thursdays. Have a good day everyone!
Good Morning everyone !! Free Drinks , it's my Birthday !!! :-D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2 U--Let the spankings begin. :)) How's things in MO ?
Have a happy and enjoy!
NICE!!!!!!! Great tune and one of my first concerts. Awesome band!
Aren't you forgetting your first Barney concert?
Barney was late-80's and I had a shaved head for Uncle Sam by then. I was more of the Banana Splits crowd as a wee one.
Glad you liked it. :)
Wasn't Barney one of the original members of the Jimi Hendrix Experience? ;)
I think they originally title the song Hey Barney, but later changed it to Hey Joe. Didn't have the zing to it that they thought.
The bass riff in that song is among my top 5 favorites.
