My Goodness...I'm out in the boonies of Iowa for a day and a half,come back and two of the kids in the group are sick. Suck it up people,it's winter time. Especially our Head Nurse who should know better. Hey Jerv...need a small favor please? Since I'm running,can you put up the virtual Eatocracy Christmas Tree this year? I was gonna ask Sir Biddle but,you know how he gets after drinking a couple Scotch's. He helped Truth put up the tree last year,ended up stripping down to his underwear,wrapping himself in garland,prancing and dancing around the Lounge and then throwing the icicles up into the air and trying to catch them on his head. I've seen the UTube video...It ain't pretty. I figure Pop's can help by holding the ladder and your drink as you put the ornaments on. Oh, and remember..save Dolly Parton till last,in case the tree starts leaning she can balance it out. Thanks Lil' Buddy.

Skip the cough syrup unless you are into tussin. Go with a Hot Bourbon toddy – 2 shots of bourbon, squeeze of lemon juice and a good dab of honey. Drink it at your bedside, just before you climb under extra covers for full effect. Guaranteed to work. This recipe was told to me by my high school bus driver, that man knew his medicine. It works for me.
My latest alternative cold cure is a hot bowl of miso soup and a good sushi dinner with plenty of pickled ginger and Waaaaasabi. That'll cure just about anything except the blues. It does put a hurting on the blues.
