Espresso also serves as the basis for that daily latte, cappuccino, macchiato, mocha or americano. Contrary to popular misconception, the name is meant to signify a brewing method and drink. The beans, blend or roast don't really matter, so you can make espresso out of pretty much any kind of coffee, as long as you have the right tools.
