 A former personal assistant of Waffle House's CEO accused him of forcing her to "perform sexual services," among other degrading acts, during her nine years of working for him, according to an Atlanta police report. Police blacked out the woman's name in the report, but gave a graphic account of her accusation, based on an interview that she gave Atlanta police on September 28. CNN obtained a copy of the police report Friday, as news of the allegations against Joseph Rogers Jr. spread around the media. Atlanta police did not elaborate on to what extent they've been able to verify the woman's claims, with Sgt. Gregory Lyon saying, "I can tell you that this is an open and ongoing investigation." I had a jerk boss that used to threaten to fire me 3 times a week at least. I worked hard for the company and had a good attitude, but finally one day I'd had it and I said "Ray, you can't fire me because I quit, eff you!" I can't believe someone was paid that well to put up with any kind of harassment that long, single parent or not! I would've immediately began submitting resumes and got the H out, I've done it before. Something seems upside down here.
There is a huge hole in the theory that this woman put up with this behavior for 9 years in order to put her son through college – If there was any truth to what she claims, she could have taken this CEO to the cleaners a LONG time ago and been awarded plenty of money. To choose to stay in a job as a secretary when you could sue and get a fat settlement makes absolutely NO sense.

Who really knows but the thing is these days, if you are accused of something like this, you are guilty as hell, until proven innocent and, not only is your family drug through the ringer but it cost tens of thousands of dollars to defend yourself. Why do these stories have to be covered by the press? I think that any sexual allegations shouldn't be allowed to be covered by the media. What if she is lying? There is too much at stake for allegations to be broadcast without going thorugh the trial process first. This is just ignorant and cruel behavior. If the alleged perpetrator is guilty, let the court system do it's thing and then let the public comment and shred him on the interweb.

For all of you who are going "it had to be consensual/she's lying to get money – otherwise she would have left and not let it go on 9 years":
1 – She waited until her son had graduated high school and was on track with a college scholarship. Since this allegedly started when the son was about 9, I can see a single mom putting up with a lot for a long time to feed and cloth a child.
2 – You obviously are not aware of the mental and emotional constructs that someone in an abusive relationship puts into place to cope with their life, some of which lock them into continuing that abusive relationship.
I once had a job and a verbally abusive boss that gave me nightmares and migraines, but I kept going into work because rent and other bills were due.
As for this case, wait for the court case to play out and find out what happened.

Actually, YOU need to do your homework. She was a housekeeper who he had consensual sex with over an 8 year period of time between marriages. He fired her and then re-hired a few months after before she finally quit several months later. NOW she wants millions of dollars. Why would anyone being sexually mistreated go BACK to the job?? Get your facts straight – from the other article it's apparent that she wasn't just working in a Waffle House as a cook or cashier (or even a manager). She was a personal assistant/secretary that worked out of his home. Personal Assistants to owners of large business corporations don't make minimum wage.

She wasn't coerced for nine years. She enjoyed the benefits and when her job was at jeopardy, or she needed more money to pay for her acrylic nails or drug habit, then she decided to blackmail him. Plain and simple. No one stays at a job for NINE years if they are in a situation like this. I was in a job for 2 hours only, when this situation happened to me. I will never believe she was forced to drive to work and perform sex acts for nine years, and not once did she become suicidal/depressed or fearful. Come on! Where are the people she vented to, about her job? We all vent about how bad our job is, so she must have told someone. Where are those people?

april I agree but where I retired from there was one lady that put up with the owner of our company doing the samething for over 15 yrs she gave up her job because her son graduated and no longer needed her job not only that also found out he was having an affair with 2 other ladies of course also his wife found out no charges brought
