Look what Sarah did! http://www.cnn.com/2012/11/02/living/sandy-new-jersey-color/index.html
Thanks so much to Truth, the best brother out there, for keeping you all updated on my status over this long week, and thanks to all of you for your well wishes!!
And Truth also kept me sane with nightly calls, I forgot to mention.
MARY SHANNON UPDATE:
Power is back on!
After five days, that is GREAT news!
That is great news!! She must be so relieved.
That's terrific, what a way to start the w/e! Have a good 1, everybody!
I'm out for the day, have a great weekend all.
I heard on the radio this morning that Jersey Mikes (in So Cal I think) will be taking donations to go directly to the American Red Cross for releif efforts from Hurricane Sandy. I've never been there, but I will today! I guess they have a history of giving, I never knew...

In case you all missed this story by Kat yesterday...great read.

GOOD essay! Hope the truly rich people in the US of A can lend a hand.
Thank you! My husband works on commission and has been out of work all week. That sucks, but many are worse off than we are by FAR.
Good morning all!
Mary Shannon update: Talked to her last night, and she is going into day four with no power. Possibly back by Sunday, but who knows. She seems in good spirits and is reading up a storm. Furries are keeping her good company.
Anything big on tap for the weekend?
Good to hear she is in good spirits, thanks. did you get the link for meals to make without power?? It was a PSA I posted yesterday I think...
Good morning! So apparently people like Kit-Kat Cookies, my blog got over 700 unique visitors yesterday :-D So to celebrate, Kit-Kat Cookies for the klatsch...tho not sure how well they go with a Bloody Mary
Awesome. I just scored your recipe. Thanks!
Oh, by the way, I see where your boy Lucas is putting the most of that 4 billion into education. My hat is off to him.
I was very happy to see that announcement, he's always been huge on philanthropy but 4.05 billion is insanity! Now to see what they have planned for my next three movies....
KitKat cookies sound good...but, 7000 visitors. They must be awsome. My Banana Pudding got 2 rave reviews, but, then I'm just starting my blog.
I aim to please so I usually have a whole medley of add-ins. Everything from pickles to celery to cherry peppers, olives, pickled green beans. the works. Also have Old Bay to rim the glass if that's your thing too.
Hi – our local watering hole is big on garlic powder and on Worchestershire sauce, thoughts?

Oh man, that's what I'm talking about. The best Bloody Mary I had started with a beef stock base. Good morning everyone.
Alrighty then, I'll have some olives with mine! Being new here, can you point me in the direction of that tasty corner?
Good am all! When I met my hubby, he was a bartender. I got to admit, he makes the best bloody mary that I've ever tasted. Cheers to you all!
Blue cheese stuffed olives, so good, and a splash of red wine at the end cuts the acid from the tomato, and love love love the pickles green beans, NOLA for that one, Las Vegas for the olives, and the Sky Club at LAX for the wine tip. :)
Morning slackers. Been awhile since I was first one in in the morning. Bloody Mary pitchers in the corner.
Good am, Sir Biddle. Would those be with celery, pickle spears, or both? :)
