Ok, dumb "smart phone" won't let me. Will try from the laptop.
So, I go to pick up our dinner. My husband ordered a plain cheeseburger with burger and cheese only. His was the last order made since it was "special". I pick it up and notice its very, very light. I open it and it was only a slice of cheese. I asked where the rest of it was and they told me "you wanted a plain cheeseburger, there it is".
Didn't mean to Send it yet! Sorry, that's what I get for multitasking. Anyway, I spent 10 minutes explaining a slice of cheese is not a cheeseburger. I've had orders messed up before, but never like that.
Went to McDonald's once when I was short on time on the way to work in the Air Force. Got the two cheeseburger meal, this place was always screwing up my orders. When I got down the road I pull one out and find neither of them have a hamburger patty in them. I was pretty hot under the collar cause I had no time to turn around and address it (I shave it close on time going to work). So now I'm out $6 and no food, no time to go back. I fling it out the passenger window of my Ford Ranger at the time in anger. Of course the centrifugal force of the spinning burger flying across the cab causes the ketchup and mustard and splat all over the inside of the windshield. That was a good afternoon.
Oh that sounds like it was a delightful day. At least you didn't act like one loon I once arrested. He was so ticked that he jumped the counter and grabbed handfuls of food and smashed them everywhere. By the time we got there he had moved on to tossing trashcans. That was fun.
Got back from lunch, pulled into my usual spot in parking lot, turned off engine...lights still on, radio on, brake locked, could not get engine on again! This happened this morning when I got to work also... Thinking I would have to have it towed to the dealer... So ask an man walking by to look at sits down, nope it won't work, looks over and says that's the problem, it was in DRIVE, not park!! I've only been driving this car for seven months...geeeeeez.
I have had similar moments. I drive a Prius, and I cannot tell you how easy it is to walk away from it still running since it makes no noise.
I've done that.
I've also set the keys to the ACC position to light a smoke and forgot to retrieve said keys. Go out in the morning to go to work: Dead Battery

Lots to think about, but the praying for rain thread is nothing short of disgusting. Drop over to the religion section (I think CNN calls it "Faith"), and you can see just how hateful (and uncensored) athiests can be. In our era of such enhanced political correctness, it seems to be open season on families, men, or anyone with faith.

Nothing in my hood but a lot of noise and lightening as the storm band was north of us running from Fredrick, Bethesda, Silver Spring, etc. Capitol Hll must have just been on the fringe of it but I did see on the news a lot of problems in other areas that were hit hard.
Did you have any issues?
we could hear it, and got maybe a hot second worth of rain. i saw images from some DC neighborhood and the flooding was just insane! wouldn't mind getting some more rain for the garden but not that much thankyouverymuch :-)
How are the cukes going?
Picked another 8 cukes the other night. Figure I have a good weekly yield going. Some critter is getting at a few of my tomatoes though. Enough to share but still an annoyance.
Between the feral cats and the snake no critters have made it to my garden :-) I had slug issues at the start of summer but beer took care of that problem!

If you ever have slugs just get a small plastic plate that has a good lip on it, cups work just make sure isn't more than an inch or two in height. Cover the bottom in your favorite cheap beer and place along the borders of your garden around sunset. Empty the next afternoon and repeat as needed. Slugs check in, but they don't check out
Slugs LOVE Four Loko and Smirnoff Ice. Not kidding at ALL.

3. Farther North to visit MTM’s mountain and dine on some fresh elk
4. Hop a plane to Denver to see Truth and Miss Saigon
5. From there, head on down to Katy, TX to try RH’s famous smoked Brisket BBQ and play with WD
6. Head North to Kansas City for Oklahoma Joes burnt ends and cold beer with wendy
7. Hop over to Indiana to visit the Royal Family, I think the boys will love me as I am the most rockin’ grandma around.
8. Shoot over to Northern NY state to stop by Mildred's
9. Proceed South a bit for a stop over at Mary Shannon to visit the furries.
10. A stop over in NYC to visit CNN offices and say hi to Kat and SLT and see if I can finally talk my way into getting an official Eatocracy cutting board
11. Head South to VA/DC to visit with JainaJade, Jerv, TWO, and SirBiddle, cupcakes anyone?
12. Continue to South New Joisey to see Ms. Grammar and maybe a stop at the Boardwalk? I hear they have some amazing foods…
13. Stop over in South Carolina to see an angrybabykitty and try the crab soup.
14. Continue South to somewhere secret and find the Evil Lair with minions running about
15. Further South to West Florida for a stop with AleeD and some fresh grouper.
16. Drive over to Miami to say hi to DJC and have some awesome Cuban food.
probably want to hit jersey after NYC and before DC in order to avoid going south then north then south...unless you enjoy I-95 in which case have at it!!!
