Pssst! Got a sec to chat? We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here. Consider the daily Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic. |

Good morning your majesty, suns shining here in Johnstown Pa too. Its the aniversary of the 1889 flood today,so might meander down to the flood museum and have a wee look around. Lookin put window laughin as squirrels and chipmunks fighting for feeding rights on feeder. Mike removed the big stump that was their table yesterday, and the poor wee critturs are confused
Interesting article here, and another reason I am not on FB:

By the way, to the keeper of the ModBot word list, can you please add "const!tuents". I was getting my political rage on over on the NYC thread.
Very interesting, but removes the personal responsibility angle. Facebook itself isn't the enemy, it is the users themselves. If a user chooses to reveal information about themselves, its it their choice, not Facebook's. Common sense should prevail the same as if you were in a crowded room, would you just randomly shout out what you had for breakfast? I do have a FB account but use it to connect to old acquaintances and for professional reasons.
"Common sense should prevail ... " How did your head not explode when you posted that? ;)
Done.
I know its an opinion piece, but awesome article and I couldn't agree with it more. One of the best quotes: "The less we publicly announce about ourselves, the more mysterious and thus the more interesting our private selves become."
Morning crew!
A royal howdy! to everyone this morning. It's a bright sun-shiney day in the Circle City.

Good Morning to all who aren't world renowned travelers, too. :) Coffee's on. Gotta get my azz-embly set-up for a mini-design review with the VP/temp eng boss. Hugs to all!
Glad the travels are going well! Have a couple of brownies for me!
Brownies. Indeed.
Sitting in the upper deck of a KLM 747-400 sipping champagne, ready for a long flight back home. Amsterdam was rainy and cold, but stillhad un yesterday and took a canal tour...TGIF everyone!
