The Mint Julep is one of the best drinks ever invented. Make sure to use spearmint if you can (peppermint is too strong) and hold the glass at the bottom. Drink it on a hot day. Naysayers haven't had one properly prepared for them, I'd wager.
Not my favorite drink, but I do applaud Makers Mark for being an excellent brand based in good 'ole USA.
Where to get a great mint julep in the Chgo area?
Any drink made with bourbon is disgusting.

The Mint Julep is an aquired taste and I can't wait till tomorrow to sit in front of my t.v. watch coverage of Derby Day and aquire my juleps to sip. YUM
