You can easily and impulsively start a party with a bag of chips and a mountain of dip. Whether you're gathered around the TV for March Madness or want to spice up your evening with party fare instead of a meat and potatoes dinner, chips and dip are the perfect savory snack.
No matter what flavor you favor, there is a chip and a dip to suit your mood. Get spicy with Mexican-style salsa, guacamole or a hefty seven-layer dip and serve it up with tortilla or corn chips. Go hearty with a meat dip that quickly goes from appetizer to dinner with this sausage, bean and spinach dip.
Or celebrate spring's light flavors with a sour cream or yogurt-based dip - whether you make it into a sweet dip for apples and strawberries is up to you. And if you've got pita bread lurking in the fridge that is days away from becoming stale, pop those in the oven for some fresh pita chips to pair with hummus.
