Pssst! Got a sec to chat?
We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here.
Consider the daily Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic.
Yowza, it's getting bad over there...
Just one more special person.
It's funny because she specifically said that he is endorsing commercially slaughtered horses, and I reread that piece and the only thing said is that donkey is perfectly suited for American pastures....maybe the horse patties are stinging her eyes and she can't read too well...
Ok, so what is up with the nutso horse activist on the Zimmern thread. She seems to be unraveling even before our eyes...
JBJ and I were just talking about that....She may need some professional help from my friends.
No kidding! I can picture her face bright red, ready to explode, smoke coming out the ears! I bet she would be a blast at parties. *_*
Normally, I like to bust chops with the best of 'em, but in this case, I will just leave her be. She may wind up on the roof with automatic weapons.
You might be correct Bro...Probably works with Eric Holder.
Agree with you. Posting the entire 1958 act is a bit much.
The list has been updated. Thank you for your participation.
I've always thought they were at the bottom of the sea. We would have found something by now, otherwise. I've been interested in this story since I was a kid.
Good afternoon! I just scored a $500 on board credit for my cruise in May, suite deal!
NIICCCCEEEEE! Where to?
We are going to Copenhagen, Berlin, St. Petersburg (2 days), Tallinn, Stockholm, Helsinki, and possibly making a stop in Amsterdam on the way home. I am very excited about this trip.
Amsterdam? I'd be excited, too.
I was waiting for that. =o)
QOD...What is the most delicious sandwich you've EVER had?
Mine was today: grilled peanut butter, banana, and sweet bacon* on raisin cinnamon bread. *Sweet bacon is crumbled bacon heated up in a little butter and brown sugar. After it's heated, it's placed on the sanwich beween the bread and the peanut butter. Banana next and then top slice of bread. Grilled in butter. OMG – I feel my arteries closing, but what a way to go! No one gets out of here alive...I plan to go with a happy mouth and full tummy (or is that the other way around???) :)
Hey! How have you been?
Fave Sammich? That would be the spectacular Cobb Club Sandwich.
Applewood smoked bacon
Imported bleu cheese
On toasted pumpernickel
It is as huge and delicious as it sounds.
WOWWWWWWWW! NEVER have I had such a concoction.
My fav sandwich is sourdough, butter on one slice, mayo on the other, tons of avocado, Black Forest ham, a Provolone cheese slice or two, alfalfa sprouts (a cloud of them), and a nice big slice of Beefsteak tomato.
Ah yes, and a big glass of milk.
That sounds yummy.
This will sound really odd, but peanut butter and bacon on anything toasted. Absolute freakin Nirvana. And I am sure healthy too.
3 or more Cremator's–nuff said. :))
One that involves two chicks.
I found it!
Ha! I thought chicken, too, after I wrote it.
Brie and apple with drizzle of homemade honey mustard on a crusty baguette. Simple yet very yummy. My hubby and kids like to put turkey or chicken on theirs – ick.
Oooh, I never thought to put apple on it. I like the brie, butter, baguette. Plain but oh so good.
I like Granny Smith – just a little tartness with the creamy brie!
YO! You know who you are. The folks in the feature you're commenting on are my friends. Please be decent humans.
Awwww,Mom,we were just having some fun from a couple years ago. Golly gee whizer.
I'm still not at all cool with it. If y'all need to say things, do it over here, not right under the feature that our contributors are sending to their friends and family.
It just hurt my heart to see that.

Hoooo! Someone just got Dolly Parton-ed ... BUSTED!

Old World Ingredients thread
baffled. I looked and there are only 13 comments. People arguing among themselves.......(?)
I didn't see anything that objectionable either...
The comments have been removed.
thanks! Nice to learn I'm not NOT seeing things.......although I confess to days when I walk around in a fog....
I just said they were hot. I blame Truth and RH for getting me in trouble. =P lol
I never drink coffee at lunch. I find it keeps me awake for the afternoon.
Hola my Homies....What a night. Thunder,Lightning, and sheets of rain hitting Big Blue sideways. On the Bright side I got a free truck wash. WD is snoring in the recliner and I'm finally relaxing before phase 2 tonight. How is everyone today?
Just peachy dahling! And did you just call me homely? Glad you are home safe and sound!
I distinctly remember the words " Eye Candy " were used in the past. :))
Actually, the picture today looks somewhat like Wendie Malik with a bad blonde dye job...looking somewhat schnokered.
Yeah, she's enjoying that no name coffee just a little too much to believe it's just coffee in that cup!
Howdy HO! BEE YOU TEE FUL here this A.
Caption: "I know what the SECRET INGREDIENT is in my coffee t hat makes me just tooo perky!"
Well, rats....it's me, MicheleG. I forgot to change my name form another thread wherein I posted a hot note.
Are we having an ident-i-ty crises today?
yes! yes! yes!............said, um, Little Red Riding Hoodie.......
Good morning Happy Klatschers! Researching things to do on my upcoming trip I came across a recommendation (from a local) to go here in Helsinki for meat pies (or Mildred would say "pasties"). I hear Finns are fond of their reindeer, so anyone here ever try it??
Yep. It's good stuff. Plenty of reindeer in Alaska.
Thanks, good to know!
Heh. Pearl necklace.
Ha! Heard ZZ Top on the radio on the way to work this morning. Coincidence.
Oh no, does this mean I am actually going to have to watch Jets games if they're on out here.....?
And Mary, have at 'em. We used to get a lot of those when I was in Armonk. Pain in the tail to be sure.
Queen, take those pictures. You will be amazed when you dig them out in twenty years. And if he catches anything, tell him, "We'll thorow this one back today and catch him in a few years when he gets bigger." My Dad used to use that line all the time when i was a young'un.
Ok, I just spent 2 hours combing my archived mail and calender items, cutting/pasting, highlighting text and got it sent off to my manager. We'll see what happens. Arrgghhh.
HI YO Silver,Away....Did 'Ya find that Fluffy pillow yet? :))))
Checking in from Jersey. I fist pump every time my client makes a good suggestion...I don't think they get as much enjoyment out of it as I do :)
Maybe you need different clients. ~_~
What's up, buttercups? Hubs and I both have a few days off work so today we're taking the boys on a picnic and to do some fishing. By fishing I mean that I will be running after Thing 2 making sure he doesn't fall off the pier and Thing 1 will lose interest after about 20 minutes and then I'll have to chase after him too. Should be a fun afternoon!
Oh, and today's caption: "Are you trying to say this is your cup and not mine? I can't understand what you're say while you're coughing and sneezing so much."
Good morning! Better be care toasting those muffins, Truth :-). Today I get to build a paper trail defense against an escalation, someone didn't get everything they wanted so boo hoo. At least its going to be sunny and high 70's!!
G'morning Truth! Thanks for the joe. I'll take 2 in an IV. ;)
We had rain last nite! Sweet! Speaking of OJ, I hope Bro Rich made his run safely in spite of the weather.
Good Morning to all the Happy Klatschers!
Good morning all!
How is everyone doing today? A fairly mild morning in Denver today. Just starting to see a little more glow in the eastern sky on my walk to the office, so summer isn't too far off.
Coffee is on, we have fresh OJ courtesy of Brother RichHead, and I brought in some english muffins. Dig in!
