Pssst! Got a sec to chat? We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here. Consider the daily Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic. |

Divorce causes major issues with health insurance benefits. Many families have employer provided and/or paid for health insurance benefits that cover the entire family. It is not uncommon to see situations where the other spouse is a stay at home parent, with absolutely no access to health insurance benefits, or employed at a job with either no health insurance benefits available or those benefits available at a substantial cost. After a divorce, the spouse with the family health insurance coverage can no longer cover the other parent. They are no longer “family” members who can take advantage of one health insurance policy. How to then ensure that everyone stays insured does become an issue for negotiation and/or divorce litigation.`,

Ice Bars, yes or no?? Planning an excursion in Stockholm for the cruise, and one of them involves the world's first permanent ice bar... Has anyone here been to an ice bar?? Tour also includes Old Town, so that's a plus. I just want to say I've been to one...thoughts?
WOW! I just Googled Ice Bar images and it looks like you are in for an EXPERIENCE! But wear a Parka.
It sounds so cool (pun intended)! I'm expecting cooler weather this trip as it is all Northern Europe....
From the saint-petersburg dot com website about weather:
"Weather-wise, spring is not the unmitigated delight that the uninitiated might imagine. It can still be very chilly on and off until the middle of May, so you'll need the equivalent of a woolen overcoat, and its worth bringing scarves and gloves just in case – especially if you're planning to spend plenty of time outdoors. Tough shoes or boots are also recommended to cope with the slush and mud and, at this time of year, you'll need an umbrella."
I think they need a PR/visitor relations writer... LOL
At nearly 60 degrees N lat itude, you will be WAY up in the North Woods! Seriously, SERIOUSLY cold country!
Mod Bot programmers: Could you embed a string in the script that allows for letter combination IN words?
I went to an Ice Bar once–It was called Divorce Court. I did get F*&^%^^$$D but Not Kissed.
ice bars rock! we have one here in KC. they do wondrous things for your chilled beverage.. and if you're tired? just lean your head down on it. just dont try to lick it...
Chuck Norris endorses Newt Gingrich, rails against 'trifecta of tyranny'
Chuck Norris doesn't endorse presidential candidates - he anoints political saviors.
That is all.
Birdie num num. Num Num. Birdie NUM NUM!
THAT'S the one!! LMAO!
And thank you for your support!
I just saw the poll up top, and I am with AleeD, I am forbodden from watching any "streaming media" by the tech bots here... Seems some people enjoy them. I see them at home sometimes, but I have the sound off on my puter so I rarely bother to play them...
Good morning, busy busy here with month end reports...
I *heart* WD for President!
@AleeD, winner with "One Nation Under Dog"!! LOL
Most humbly, thank you.
I'll put a new pot of coffee on, as well as the tea kettle.
Morning Kidz.....Any coffee left?
"Howdee pardener!" (What movie is that from?)
The pic has been updated since this morning. Jerv is snarfing up the last of the SECOND pot. He must've had a rough night last night. How's all things with you today? How's WD?
Blazing Saddles? What's up? WD is fine...We got into Mobile early so we've been taking naps. Still waiting on a call from the Vet. :((
"The Party," 1968, starring Peter Sellers.
Do you want me to break out my wh ip and get an answer out of your vet?
How's WD feeling?
This is a new female Vet that works between 2 clinics in Katy,so she's busy. Her real Doc from Texas A&M is only available on Friday and the weekends. She is feeling fine, still sleeping alot from the shots and some pills I've been giving her.
Good morning! I survived my wacky wedding weekend and think I have a good idea of what all will be going down in April :-D
Hugs and greets! Will you have a blog or something like that where we can see photos and stuff? Even of the preliminaries?
we do have a wedding website but right now it's just in draft form. I'm posting a few things to my regular dancingveggies blog as well, but I think the main one will be the wedding website once Joe finishes setting it up :-) Still excited that CNN Travel has a feature on my venue, makes me feel special
Greets and hugs to "my" Klatchkies! Radical coffee drinkewr,m there....wo. That's a desperate man! Ritchie Rich in response to seeing his stocks take a major dive.
apologies....wich I kud tipe.
Good morning Klatschkies! How is everyone this fine Tuesday?
Good morning all!
Woke to two inches of snow this morning. Thankfully, this my off-day from school, so I took the bus.
Love the videos! Always nice to start the day with some time travel back to something I've long sicne forgotten.
How is everyone doing today?
How goes it Truth? Happy to see the Giants win Sunday.
That was a good game. Was glad to see that as my Dad gets older, he can still see his beloved Giants win one. I know that Sunday's game made him happy.
How goes life in your neck of the woods?
Mrs Biddle is from NYC, so she was on cloud nine.
Glad your dad could see them win. I'm looking at flights back to see my P's as they are both in the hospital and looking at nursing home/assisted living status very soon.
Send some of your snow our way. We've had less than an inch all winter long.
Top of the morning!
Where is everyone? RH on a OJ run? Truth snowed in? QOE get tied to the chair by thing 1 and thing 2 while they run around Lord of the Flys style?
AleeD – We may need to go on a rescue mission!
You inspired me to round a handfull of friends up and run a mud run. Recently signed up for the Warrior Dash in May. Am mentally and physically still psyching myself up for the Tough Musser in Sept.
I'm glad I could do that! I've been doing carido to drop the extra weight I put on while sitting in an office all day and now am ready to start lifting and doing more intense workouts. I am actually headed to the gym at lunch to work out. Need to get ripped!
Just for kicks, go to the tough mudder website and look at the training suggestions. Looks like fun!
Hey TWO! How's your Occupied Bowels Golf Tourney going so far?
Last I heard, QOE was tending a sick Thing 1. That's gotta be a handful at that age. If they've tied her to a chair, then he must be feeling better – and that's great news.
Sir Biddle sounded like things were warming up a bit in DC yesterday. I'll get our metal shop to form up some extra long conduit and send some of that heat to get Truth out of the snow.
If Jerv bogartin' the coffee the same as double dipping? Yeah. I think it is. I'll give Jamie Hyneman a call to see if he'll clean out the pot before I make another one.
Rich sounded pretty disgusted at the world of politix yesterday. I'm thinking he's going to write-in WD for President. I'd sure vote for her! Then we can be ....
ONE NATION UNDER DOG!
I'll vote for WD! I played golf on Saturday and realized that I didn't play very much last year. I need to get on the course more often and get my handicap down...
Morning Crew!
I see Jerv is bogarting the coffee again.
Dearest Kat & SLT,
About half the time I'm blocked from watching videos at work. So I don't get to enjoy them very often.
To everyone else, Good morning! Coffee's on and I brought in chocolate chip muffins for breakfast.
Nice! It's cloudy here...great for my nice smoking cup of cappuccino...
Where is "here" where you're enjoying your cappuccino? We're unseasonably warm with high 79 & a low of 63. But, we had a nice hard rain for about 30 minutes last evening. Add that to the 40% chance of rain today and that should help relieve some of our crunchy grass.
