Hey man whats up. My nephew graduates tomorrow from Air Force basic training and is going into Security Forces – any advice for him?
Avoid Priority 1 bases like the plague. Such as Kirtland, White Sands, Barksdale, Minot, Montana, etc. Overseas ones would be OK.
These would be bases that maintain nuclear weapons. You get trapped there, unless it's overseas as there are tour limits.
Has to do with what you can and can't do, medications you are not allowed to take, etc. Life is a lot better when you are not stationed on a base where you have to protect nukes. Trust me. I got stuck in Albuquerque for 3.5 years. Land of Enchantment? No. Land of Entrapment.
I'm pushing him to go overseas as that time made my 4 years in the Army much better. Not sure if he drank the Kool-aide or got swendled by his recruiter, but he signed for 6 years instead of 4 so he could get a $2K bonus and make E3 when he finishes tech school. Not sure if it was worth it as I know you can get rank faster in the Air Force, but he'll learn things one way or another.

I highly recommend Mucinex D. You have to get it behind the pharmacy counter (no prescription needed) but it kicks a cold's behind.
