Get a little piece of that candy? What was that at the end of the clip? lol

I am going to get diabetes from Halloween alone. I don't eat much chocolate or sweets, but I went bananas during Halloween.. Loved me some Almond Joy action.

What happened to O'Henry bars? You can buy one at the gas station but you can't buy a bag of the bite-sized ones anymore. Mars bars were good too, can't buy them anymore either. And back in the 70's there was the Marathon bar...delish!

The best candy is Chocolate: Reeses and Kit Kat! Hands down! We normally give out fullsize bars but this year we gave out treat bags with a variety of the All-time Greats! Had like 40 kids!
    I ate some too!

I'm with slupdawg. Except for the Whoppers, yours was the candy that always got eaten last or thrown out. Nast.

How about the waxy skulls that you bit into and they were filled with sweet liquid? What happened to those? Must be getting old....

Don't remember skulls – even for Halloween. I remember the wax soda bottles with the juice in the center. Chewed it like gum 'til the flavor was gone. (: I'm old, too. :)

Late 70/early 80s it was all about almond joy, Reese's and snickers. I did like the homemade popcorn balls but the Tylenol scare and some razor blades in apple rumors ended all those. What sucked....root ever barrels, braces butterscotch (the last cady eaten) but a penny might get your hose turned on... We give ou full size candy bars at our house, everybody remembers the generous house (and doesn't egg it).

It is too bad also, that THERE WAS NEVER A SINGLE HALLOWEEN POISINING that was not someone the child knew, useally a family member. There was never a confirmed stranger passing this crap out.

yeah there was... when I was a kid in Houston, one of our neighbors was arrested for putting needles and razorblades in random Halloween candy. sick f***. I remember after that, my mother always took us to get our candy x-rayed.

    Great interview, Kat!
From my days as a young'un, I liked Clark Bars, Necco wafers and the time honored Butterfinger Bar.

    Great feature!

My favorite candy to get on Halloween was a Clark Bar or Krackel bar. Yes, that was 40 years ago now. What do I enjoy now? A Clark Bar or a Krackel with a nice single malt scotch. I will never tire of chocolate.
