Ray Isle (@islewine on Twitter) is Food & Wine's executive wine editor. We trust his every cork pop and decant – and the man can sniff out a bargain to boot. Take it away, Ray. Here’s the way I see it with Halloween wines. There are plenty of wines out there that are propelled by some sort of marketing gimmick - Dracula’s favorite Transylvanian Zinfandel, 2012 Mr. Bones's Bug Juice - but there are also some wines that more organically have a spooky Halloween vibe to them. Here are a few possibilities that would be appropriate served out of black glasses in a Haunted House, and that also actually taste good. |
