No idea what I'm doing for lunch... need to keep it light, though. I have Morris Dance practice tonight and afterwards we go to a place that has pretty good grilled buffalo wings.
Ahem...I have been looking for a slow cooker recipe, does your beef stew involve tomatoes? If so, I'll have to pass, can't stand those things. Thanks.
I actully used the McCormichs mix recipe and it did not involve tomatoes. I found a from scratch recipe on line today and will see if I can find the link again.

How moronic is PETA? They are now trying to get the courts to declare that water parks with performing animals such as killer whales and dolphins are participating in slavery.

I swear those people are absolute lunatics. Every single one of them has pets, I'm willing to bet. Slave owners, all of them, apparently.
I read that at lunch today. They are specifically targeting Busch Gardens, owners of SeaWorld. I hope it makes it to trial and PETA goes bankrupt defending their position. I know it will never happen, but I can dream.
PETA says it's not expecting to win but wants to raise awareness of these animals.
I suppose it's not to wonder that they've conveniently forgotten that these parks got started for the same reason – and have succeeded in bringing incredible awareness and compassion to oceanic wildlife. How many children grow up to become marine biologists because they went to see a show at sea world an fell in love with orcas or dophins? A lot.
They've forgotten how many killer whales, dophins and whales, were hunted and killed until parks like these started educating kids and giving them a first hand view of the animals themselves.
But no matter, right? Because according to PETA, these "sea kittens" are all slaves. Instead of helping animals, PETA overwhelmingly hurts them. It's annoying.

The most ridiculous thing about PITA (nodding to Jerv) is that every time they stick their necks out to try to save the lives of animals, all they end up doing is showing how ignorant they are of how animals live under the care of humans like those of Busch Gardens.
When InBev first bought BG in 2009, PITA threatened to buy all the BG and free all the animals. What they don't realize is these animals are rescued or born in captivity and can never be released into the wild where they would not survive.

I have no idea. I'm nowhere near a thermometer. It's coolish. A little warmer today than the last few days, but nothing near the summer we're recovering from. The sky's a little gray and overcast, so I'm betting it'll probably rain tonight or tomorrow.
Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, the Virginias or Maryland. Those states currently have overcast skies.
