howdy all. currently battling a wicked case of poison ivy. it's embedded in my system, has wrecked my immune system now, and i'm well on my way to an awesome cold/flu something or other. the voice was lost last nite...and the tonsils are swollen today. oh yeah... still itchin! ETA for the poison to leave the system? 3-4 weeks according to the severity of my symptoms. :) i am going home shortly and going to bed. to be continued...

alas, it was from clearing out a fenceline at the house i am moving into. getting a new fence installed and had lots of cleanup to do. even after taking all the necessary precautions i still ended up with the itchies. grrr. yeahhh.. the Chiefs. that's a 4 letter word around my house. :)

Good Thursday morning my friends! Hubs bought some new cookies yesterday, they look like the crispy edges of brownies, he has probably talked about them at least 45 minutes between last night and this morning, that's just how he rolls, LOL. Morning, chums. Finally a sunny, albeit slightly ominous day. I like that.
I'm just getting ready for an upcoming local reptile convention. Looking forward to meeting some of the local breeders. Taking stock of what supplies I have available and doing some care research in case I decide to bring a delightful little creature back to the Evil Lair to become a new animal minion.
What kind of creature you considering for the evil lair?
I'm thinking about a panther chameleon (Furcifer pardalis) or a sunbeam snake (Xenopeltis unicolor).
I've long thought about adding a varanid to the Lair for protection. A water monitor (Varanus salvator) would be just about perfect. They grow large and have naturally bad temperaments. However, I am wondering if the Lair currently has the space necessary to properly raise and train one. Of course, once the first is trained, it will be used to train others. I'll need a full protection detail.
For just a pet, the panther chameleon looks awesome! But for the protection detail, the monitor is definitely the way to go. I can even picture them in specialized body armor as you take over the world.

Truth be told (no pun), Corinn was an amalgam of the worst of what I have dated, encountered and worked with. I did the online thing for a while and was completely repulsed at most of what is out there. It was tantamount to being in a human buffet just before closing and finding all the best is taken and nothing worthwhile is left.

Goooood morning and happy Thursday. Today is Friday for me. Mucho appreciado for the help on the threads yesterday. justadud is a rather angry fellow, isn't he? IDC It was fun. Can't help but wonder why he's not a cop anymore – not!. After hubby's procedure tomorrow, the installer will come out to check the floor again. We checked the water meter twice yesterday and it seems that we don't have a leak anywhere. Whew. Keep your fingers crossed that the floor is dry(er) and hubby gets a clean bill of health.

Speaking of trailers, I saw this tractor trailer with these long angled panels running down beneath the lenght of the trailer. I'm guessing that is some kind of aero dynamic thing to save fuel??
You are correct Oh Trucking smart one. They were introduced last year and it's just another thing that the rookies can tear up and rip apart. It's funny that the first Mexican Co. allowed to run in the U.S. only has two trucks and drivers. Rather odd when you think about it.

Your on the same wavelength as Truth and I....We talked last night after the terrible first Texas Rangers game. Anyway, It would seem to me that DOT needs to take a hard look at the trucks and drivers on the understanding of the English language,etc. It will only take one major accident caused by them to really set off the American public IMHO.
