Fall is new everything season! And that includes sodas. So unless you’re a kid in a school district with a soda ban in effect, you should check out these amazing drinks. School kids can try them after class.
The Connecticut-based company has been around for 100 years, making small-batch sodas with well water and cane sugar. And then there’s their ‘Totally Gross Sodas’ line. The Toxic Slime is a bright blue mix of ‘blue raspberry’/orange/lemon. Bug Barf is green, made with kiwi and pineapple. The newest Gross flavor is the passionfruit and lime Fungal Fruit. I understand that these sodas actually taste good but I’m not touching Kitty Piddle Soda, which is yellow, under any circumstances.
Andy Ricker has served Som at his outstanding Thai restaurant Pok Pok in Portland, Oregon since 2005. What’s Som? Well, it’s a sipping vinegar; lightly sweet and tangy, and flavored with ingredients like honey, apple and pomegranate (and they're available for purchase on his website too). Unless you’re an acid freak, you probably want to mix it with club soda or add it to a bourbon cocktail that needs a kick.
If a drink is made with triple purified sparkling water, fresh fruit purees and juices and maybe a little cane juice is it still a soda that would get itself kicked off premises of some schools? I don’t know, I’m not in 5th grade anymore, but hats off to Spindrift for using no preservatives or concentrates in selections like mango orange, blackberry and cranberry-raspberry.
Margo's Bark Root Beer
Although I’m not a root beer person, I’m now a Bark Root Beer devotee. The concoction was created by a seven-year old for his science fair project; it was so good that his family started selling it. Margo is the name of their family dog, and they donate all their profits to shelter dogs foundations. The adorable website offers soda, tee-shirts, hoodies and information about adopting dogs.
Jones should be recognizable to almost everyone for their hipster packaging and old-school flavors like cream soda. They also give soda drinks a chance to promote their favorite obsessions with their Limited Edition Dungeons and Dragons 6-pack. And then there’s the bizarre-o holiday flavors line. In the past, that’s included Turkey & Gravy Soda, Tofurky & Gravy Soda, Egg Nog Soda and Broccoli Casserole Soda. I can’t wait to see what they do this year.

What I want to know is when they're going to offer Jones Wine Coolers ;-) Bring them on Jones.
A great place for food and drink specials is SpecialsAgent.com. They have over a million bar and restaurant deals, coupons, discounted specials and venue features. The site even features handy reviews and content from open table so you can find specials, book a reservation and get directions all in the same place. Check it out :)
My favorite flavor is Cola (or cola with cherry syrup), why arent there any premium cola's? What is so effin special about root beer and black cherry(gag)? Every premium soda maker has to have a version of root beer and black cherry but I have never seen a single premium cola.
Ive also had some amazing coconut/pineapple soda in the Bahamas (it was in a can) which tastes a lot like Ocean Water at Sonic but less sweet since it didnt have syrup added. Coconut sodas are painfully missing from the premium line as well.
I loves jones sodas "Thanks giving dinner" pack. With every dish a flavor in the pack. it makes such a fun gift!
i had those once....they're hilarious but taste just awful!!
Boyland is a great brand too with sugar cane sweetened sodas and flavors like dark cherry, creme vanilla and creme cola.
Me too! I wont drink regular soda but would love to try their unique sodas.
I wish Jones could offer more sugar-free varieties of their unique flavors. I would buy more of them if they did.
