While you're frying up some eggs and bacon, we're cooking up something else: a way to celebrate today's food holiday.
Get your flapjacks flippin' - September 26 is National Pancake Day!
Grab your knife and fork and dig into a short stack of your favorite pancakes! Whether you frequent the local pancake house or whip up some batter for the griddle on your own, enjoy breakfast all day long.
We've been hooked on Jonnycakes for a while. Archaeologists discovered evidence suggesting that a variety of pancake was the first breakfast food in prehistoric societies. Mixing seed flours with milk and eggs, whipped up over an open fire, made for a nutritious (and tasty) start to the day.
Today, pancakes start with a rich batter of eggs, flour, milk or buttermilk and baking powder. Toss in complementary spices, like cinnamon or vanilla, your favorite fruit or a handful of chocolate chips to sweeten the deal.
Try King Arthur's perfect pancake recipe or this plethora of pancake recipes on for size. Once you've got the griddle going, learn how to flip some flapjacks and impress your friends. Or as Uncle Felix says, "flip-flop the flop-flips!"
The above given recipe is really very nice. It is easy and tastes good. Thanks for such a great recipe.
