Texas governor Rick Perry may hail from a beef-centric state, but he left room to grab some swine on a stick. CNN Political correspondent Peter Hamby spied the presidential hopeful going whole hog on a slab of pork.
Why does the media constantly try to make Republicans or Conservatives look foolish and crude. If a reporter wrote that Barack Obama pigged out on fried chicken and watermelon he would be called a racist pig .Such a double standard.
Might I ask how anyone can take the idea of media impartiality serious anymore, between this and Bachmann's pictures it takes a thick skull to ignore these blatant attempts to paint Republicans in a bad light.
Here is a scoop on Rick Perry..because of always wearing tight jeans in his youth,he can only do his business while sitting down. I was shocked to see him in the Women's room at the Iowa State Fair exchanging lip gloss with Mrs. Bachmann after eating the pork sandwich. It was a True Pea Party moment.
Can someone please explain to me how a politician eats at the state fair matters in any way whatsoever? How it is "news?"
After this, no one is allowed to ask what is wrong with our political system anymore. We focus more on what food on a stick a politician favors than we do the details of their fiscal or foreign policy. We deserve what we get.
As a general rule, I can't stand people talking with their mouths full, and seeing people chow down is kind of gross to me anyway, so I'd rather not see it, but (a) these fools need to eat sometime, (b) they're constantly hounded by media attention, and (c) who would turn down some of the best food the place they're visiting has to offer? I have enough reasons to be put off by Rick Perry, nevermind that he's eating what looks to be a delicious piece of food- just finish chewing before talking (better yet, stop talking)
@RH Ol' Rick is really good at the whole multitasking thing. After all, he managed to be a best selling writer and a world class governor... Oh, wait! He had to be told to get his butt back to Austin to sign the bills that the state legislature passed while he was out of the state signing autographs. Talk and chew he can handle. Walk and chew? Prolly not! LOL!
"'richard" head, you know everything surprises you all day long, day after day. "Wow, what the heck is that thing?" "It's the sun "rich", it comes up every day."
Oh great. Now everyone is going to think all of us Texans are porkers. At least he didnt comment about the fried butter I heard they had there!
Porker plain & simple.
I had a turkey leg at the fair on Saturday. You may now go back to your regularly scheduled programming.
They have those turkey legs in Iowa City. Best part of the college game day experience

Would you like a glass for all that whine you are making? I'm sick and tired of thin skinned conservative sissies.
Matt, repeat after me: PRESIDENT RICK PERRY.
What can we say? We call 'em like we see 'em.
You hit the nail on the head . . .they wouldn't dream of saying anything about Barack.
Thank you!
I'm more curious about Bachmann's big ole husband. He looks like he could eat all the barbeque at the fair and still be begging for more pork.

They're just the ones on the road right now, in front of cameras. We're equal opportunity jesters.

This is news?
Hopefully, after eating all that Texas Beef and now this Pig Sammich,he will have a stroke and I can sneak in the back door for Prez!!!

I'm surprised he can chew and talk at the same time!
