Hubs was reading Parade magazine this morning about the differences between dogs and cats...said a dog will chase a squirrel around the yard for hours, but never catch it or eat it, while cats are more focused on the kill, ha! Made me think of WD!!
Hmmmmm...sounds like I need to hire Odie as an instructor on squirrel takedowns. You can always put Hubs outside with a Zorro mask and wearing a fur coat to entice Mr. Raccoon to come closer for a kill shot. :))
LMAO! Hubs was just saying yesterday he always wanted a cane with a sword in it! He took one (a racoon) out a couple of years ago with his 22 at 4:30 in the morning, neighbors called to see if I was OK! LOL

Yeah, Friday was rough, I had a fever and headache, and those were two of the signs that maybe some spinal fluid had leaked out when I got the shot...scary, but the headache was not sever and I don't have a thermometer to know if the fever was >101, but felt like a million bucks yesterday and today, so I think I'm good to go now! :)

Well, he developed Diabetes in January and almost died...had 2x a day insulin shots for 3 months and it controlled it, now he has to be on a special diet or we go back to shots...I think he prefers this!

Good Saturday Morning,Homies. In honor of our BOZO President and all the Clowns in Congress...WD and I are grilling Beer Can Chicken using 40 oz beers 'cuz these guys are such tight azzez. Gonna try something NEW today..The John Boehner, We will use a mixture of sweet Paprika and Saigon cinnamon which should match his orange tan when grilled.WD recommends I grill some pineapple rings in case this one is too sour. She is a culinary GENIUS!!
Next is the Harry Reid, We will use a combination of chili powder,garlic powder and garlic salt,plus a pinch of Saigon cinnamon to get rid of THE HAIR of the DOG affect. This one should be spectacular.
We were gonna do a John McCain but he is at Antiques Roadshow to see what his real worth is. For sides we will have grilled corn on the cob with jalapeño butter,kicked up pinto beans and corn bread. Dessert is up in the air,yet WD is recommending something with ice cream. Have a GREAT Weekend and stay KOOL everyone. :))

I have a stooopid question...is Ibuprofen an anti inflammatory med? I'm not suppose to take any anti-inflams for 3 days but I have a headache that just won't go away and it's making me quite crabby and unhappy. Thanks.

I don't think I really care at this point, I've tried drinking tons of water, eating, sleeping, eating again, diet coke, and still have it. I just had a cortisone injection yesterday and I think they don't want me to bleed? But I can't see how that is possible. BTW – I just went to your blog as I am home and have no evil network firewalls, and lady that is some funny sh!t!! Oh to be young again...

Not sure why you would be told not to take IB's. Cort injections & IB's are both anti-inflammatories. IB's are mild; cortisone is strong. Until QOE can give us the real scoop, check this out and see if it makes sense.

Well, I bit the bullet and took 2 ib's, to he!! with it. AleeD I agree, don't know why, but I couldn't take them 7 days before the shot either which made more sense cuz they were putting a needle in my spine and didn't want me to bleed all over the place I guess. I rarely get headaches but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis (sp?).

What are you getting innoculated for?
I am getting the first of my Hepatitis B series, along with my MMR and Tetanus series and my TB test. A lot of this I may have already had when I was in the military, so I am bringing in my shot records and letting them figure it out. Tetanus I need to have done again, as I last had it when I was doing Katrina relief, and it was not documented. If time permits, I may also pick up my gear and uniforms, as we are expected to be in uniform on day 1.
The concert should be fun. Late, but fun. It is a series of singers from VN who tour the US regularly. Bride has gone before with her sister in law, but this is a first for me.
TB testing has to be done yearly and you'll probably still get the MMR as the immunity does wear off.
Miss Saigon actually had to go through the whole 9 months of TB medications, as she was carrying when she got here. Made her extremely sick, but now she is done for good. And you are probably right, in that they will probably hit me again with the rest, as my time in the service was back in 1983...Hard to believe that I would be pension elegible by now.
The only thing you may get out of is the Hep B series but only is you've had all 3 shots before. Once you get these out of the way you only have to go through the annual TB test and flu and pneumonia vaccines.
And people are idiots (looking at the KFC honors Col. Sanders thread). Why is it that some people will use any thread to either spout some ideology (here it's usually vegetarian/vegan/let's save the animals...) or show just how stupid/racist/elitist/etc they are, or *both*?
