Food says so much about where you’ve come from, where you’ve decided to go, and the lessons you’ve learned. It’s geography, politics, tradition, belief and so much more and this week, we invite you to dig in and discover the rich, ever-evolving taste of America in 2011.
Our cross-CNN coverage will culminate with a Secret Supper in New York City, and Eatocracy invites you to participate online starting Monday July 11th at 6:30 p.m. E.T.
Dig in. We'll be adding more as we cook it up.

I think this is really interesting and is a hot topic for lots of people. There are groups like the Southern Foodways Alliance that promote culinary heritage and film makers such as 10 Minute Films which is making a film on how people have lost food traditions. http://www.indiegogo.com/10MinuteFilms
Whe we eat, food is consumed.
"You're working hard to put food on your family."
When we eat anything, we should remember the bountiful goodness of God and those who cannot eat enough and drive ourselves for more excellency and charity.
Why don't you sell your computer and buy food for the poor?
Because it is easier to tell people what to do with their own hard earned money. DS should run for office.
Earthlings make everything into art, great, but without the constant thanksgiving to the Almighty God and willingness to share in charity, love of food is plain gluttony especially on a planet of 2 billion needy humans with millions of them actually starving. Also, delicacies never make greedy or thankless humans happy just like any other pleasures on earth.
Oh !!!! give it a rest. Most of us do not live in a state of guilt like you must in order to feel the need to preach to us all.
RSVP on the shindig–Camilla is running at Saratoga and must freshen up before attending. Will there be pie?
