Tacos, tequila, migas and micheladas, oh my! By the time you're reading this, Eatocracy editors Kat and Sarah will likely be part human, part tortilla.
Yup - they're headed (along with staffs of CNN Tech, Entertainment, iReport and more) to the annual South by Southwest conference in Austin, Texas, where they'll be speaking on panels at the TECHmunch conference, reporting on the Austin food scene, holding court at the CNN Grill, interviewing chef/documentary star Chef Paul Liebrandt, diverting to Lockhart, Texas for some serious barbecue and (shhhh!) throwing a Secret Supper with a local superstar chef and generally trying to cram as much trailer food into their mouths as medically possible.
Gonna be in Austin for SXSW? Dig food? We've got a fabulous afternoon diversion for you.
Our Managing Editor Kat will be on a panel entitled "Publicity: How to Leverage Traditional Media and get on a Food Editor's Radar" with co-conspirators Jeff Houck of the Tampa Tribune and Rene Lynch of the LA Times, moderated by Addie Broyles of the Austin American-Statesman.
Do drop by and say hi, won't you? She doesn't bite - unless you're wearing a meat sweater or BBQ cologne. Then it's totally fair game.

While you're frying up some eggs and bacon, we're cooking up something else: a way to celebrate today's food holiday and the most delicious finds on TV.
Do you find yourself stressing over all of the enticing options at breakfast time? Well, hem and haw no more! March 11 is National Oatmeal-Nut Waffles Day.
Why have just one item for breakfast when you can have three? You’ve got your oatmeal for heart health, your nuts for protein and your waffles for rib-sticking goodness.
This morning, we’re making waffles!

Pssst! Got a sec to chat?
We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here.
Consider the daily Coffee klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic.
