We spend all our days just dreaming of fresh, hot beignets. Well, those and muffulettas, brandy milk punch, fried oyster po' boys, butter-drenched shrimp etouffee, glorious gumbo, Gulf oysters and the sort of red beans and rice that could turn a bunch of strangers into life-long friends. It's been two weeks since Eatocracy left New Orleans. We came to throw a Secret Supper, and it seems we left a big chunk of our soul there. Watch after it 'til we get back there, okay? In the meantime, take a stroll through the fare we shared in the gallery above (yup - we ate all of that) and our features below - and please catch us a throw if some pretty beads float by. We promise we'll return the favor. Ah, all those lovely pictures have made me homesick. Maybe next time you can try some banana fritters!
I am drooling here.
How could you not have a picture of a King Cake?
Git 'er done!!!
Funny story there - we only posted pictures of what we actually ate. I brought back three small King Cakes from NOLA, and brought one into the office to share. Didn't photograph because I figured I had 2 more at home. When I got home, my dogs looked happy and slightly ill and if you look at slide 5, that's all that was left.
Ha! That is hysterical. Of all things left over from the dog attack....a freakin' pig.
Those pics make me hungry! Can hardly wait for Easter, heading to Youngsville, LA for a homemade crawfish boil at the inlaws....man I am I glad I married a Cajun!
Love all food made in southern Louisiana...especially my Memere` jambalaya and my uncle's crawfish and corn chowder...I miss living down there..Northwest Arkansas food holds no comparison in food to NOLA!
I'm not eating. Takes up space for drinking.
Love south Louisiana food!
I got da gold!
Don't be fooled by Bellini's and such....GO TO TROPICAL ISLE AND GET A HAND GRENADE!!!!!!!!
Trust me, you won't be sorry.
All I can say to you folks who have never visited New Orleans, "come on down!!" The food is 1000 times better than the pictures... But diet before you come...
So true, I figure we gain 1 lbs a day every trip to Lousiana (worst is when we used to stay 8 days and it held true). Work it off now because you can't resist when you get there!
Grilled oysters at Oceana is the best thing I've ever eaten in my life....... The sauce is remarkable.
Best food in the nation, bar none!!!!
I love me some Eatocracy.
How could they forget the King Cakes?
Photo #4
big dummy!!
Those look a lot like crawfish in picture 31, not shrimp.
Ya know - I believe you're right. That's the one dish at that meal I didn't get a bite of. Changed the caption. Thanks!
What's that word again? Oh yeah ...... "moderate." And that other word was ..... "troll." I'm beginning to understand.
It's crawfish season
What I really want is a crawfish pie.
you're a crawfish pie. loser!
Yum – Why do they have these postings before lunch? I don't know if I can wait 90 minutes to eat lunch now...
Welcome to my life! I've gotta stare at that stuff all day long.
I do not envy you at all. My 'office' pop-tart just wouldn't cut it after those pics.
go back to fox news you hungry loser!!
LOL! What gets me is it all looks sooooo yummy and I haven't a clue as to where I could find that for lunch! Getting to NOLA and back in an hour with the transporter on the fritz? No can do! ;)
I couldn't even make it on the Concord! 4 hours, maybe.... well worth 1/2 a day from work. :)
Must. Have.
Delish!!!!
Dang! I wasn't hungry before I saw those pix! Now I'm craving some shrimp etouffee and somma dat candied satsuma peel. THAT looks interesting! What does it taste like?

I'm with you, those photos made me hungry too! Looks so good.
For all haters, "http://www.stfuandgetalife.com" LMAO!
Closest I could come for lunch today was a (yummy) shrimp salad wrap. They put Old Bay in their SS. Gooooood ferya!
Best steak I've ever had, is at Crescent City Steakhouse.
BUT, only go during daylight hours, neighborhood gets a little too funky after dark.
Cab dropped my wife and I off, then the owner called another after we finished, and escorted us outside.
Great food, and service for under $70 for two.
Is this a genuine article or just some lousy attempt at plugging Cochon Butcher??!!
And you too, go back to Fox "news" you fuking loser.
@Charlie Sheen...stop cursing!
Congrats on learning how to use CTRL+C and CTRL+V to "write" this article.
