Read on, brah. The Top Five Things I Look for in a Good Diner, Drive-In or Dive: Guy Fieri 2. Unique regional food 3. Real Deal Culinary Style 4. Old School Traditions 5. Funky Is there someone you'd like to see in the hot seat? Let us know in the comments below and if we agree, we'll do our best to chase 'em down. |

hey! I found this really great article about Guy in my local magazine. It looks like the writer spent some quality time getting to know him in Mexcio- check it out!

I love Guy, however, I agree that he should stick to food. Somehow, the game show just doesn't work for him as much as the food deal.

Vapor is a liberal stooge and I am sure he wet himself after the shooting in AZ this weekend, crying about gun control.
LOL! I don't think he is even potty trained yet.
Love how you were laying out those vegan liberal stooges in the horse meat article.
Have you ever noticed that the far left is all about "choice" when it comes to killing a baby, but that "choice" stops the minute you state your desire to eat a balanced diet, or own a weapon?
Yup I sure have. There are so many contradictions in politics now it is an absurdity. Conversely, if repubs really stood for smaller govt, lower taxes and personal choice, I would vote for them all the time. I've givein up on politics.
I totally agree...I come down hard on the left, but the right is no good as well. I truly believe that within our lifetimes, the film "Idiocracy" will look like nothing short of prophesy.
Yup, I bet you are correct. In the mean time, all liberal stooges must be called out and taken to task.
i like to start fights in stupid forums like these. if you are someone who likes to get verbally thrashed, then please post something stupid and I wheel shred you verbally. you will look like a stupid person, which you are. everyone reading will know youare ignorant when i finish with you.
Hey Vapor, we were starting to get worried about you, Haven't heard from you in a while. Did your grandma ground you from your computer?
Anyway, good to see you back, make sure you get enough protien, staying in the basement can really mess up your system.
God I wish snowbunny was here.
Yeah, I'll second that, but we will have to wait until tomoorrow @ 2:00 am for vapor to post back, it is the only time he can sneak down to the basement.
Come on vapor, come out and play
Hello vapor. Here is a stupid comment for ya'. vapor has a brain.
Do you still sniff the cork?
Naw, I think Vapor sniffs bicycle seats.
Bicycle seats and his own sweaty, crusty underoos.
Hey dipsh!t- welcome back. I see you're at the library again! Have a great day lil' buckeroo!
glad to see you've crawled out of your hole vapor! good to know the english language still challenges you.
This guy is a total knockoff of Roadfood.com, which has been around since 2000
go to lenny and joes in clinton connecticut, my family and i go every year when we are driving to our beach house. the lobster roll is to die for!
Guy rocks but you have to catch the angry host of Epic Mealtime. he is burnin' the internet.
i will show you angry. i wheel rip urine head off urine body and u wheel dye and cry and i will laugh reel hard
I make soup out of pantyhose!
baba ganoush
mmm. bacon.
Oh yeah someone who can cook a hot dog or a hamburger on a grill! Wow, yes, definitely sign him up for the "Food" Network! Gawd he is such a chef poser. Can Food Network please show some people who know food and know how to friggin cook something more than bacon and eggs????
Rut's Hut in Clifton, NJ. They are the hot dog kings!!
Food Network is turning into one long drawn-out series of commercials, doing nothing more than plugging this eatery or that one.
Good Food? Then you should go to Atlanta Hwy Seafood Market in Gaineville Ga. Best Gumbo and Poboys this side of the Mississippi ! I would put this food up against any in New Orleans.
The Yabba Pot in Baltimore is one of the most interesting places I have ever been. Delicious vegan soul food. I know vegan sounds weird for DDR, but this place knows what they are doing. Also the Chicago Diner in Chicago is awesome. Could be a cool theme. And, I am not vegan!
I love Fieri's positive energy, and think he is a great addition to television. Nix on the naysayers.
this guy is such a douche. his hair is terrible, his intelligence is remedial at best and he has zero credibility.
and you, John; sound like a snob...
How do you really feel?
Guy........go to Beltline Bar in Grand Rapids Michigan. Damned good wet burritos!!! yummmmmmmmmmmmm
Big Island Brewhas and Tako Taco! They have home brew and hot sauce!!! (oh and crazy signing musical owners who like Dia De Los Muertros decorations)
Big Island of Hawaii, Hawaii (808) 887-1717-forgot that part :)
I worked with Guy at one of his first joints...and I can say,...he is not acting in any way and has a true passion about dining...in it to win it is all I can think of when it comes to him. He's had a number of setbacks but has never, not once, given up. My hats off to you Guy...keep it up!
i hate him cus he's fat
WOW you all are some seriously jealous and judgmental people. I knew Guy before he got famous and ironically was fan of the show without making the connection even though he looked and acted the same when he hung around back in the day. When my family and I bumped into him one night he came up to me saying hello and that’s when it clicked. You may not like his style but I can attest that this is the real him not some character and that he is a great person.
Beth's Cafe in Seattle has already been on the show (very good choice); any other funky little places in Seattle?
Our family loved this guy but we are dismayed with the weird, obnoxious and lame game show schtick. What the heck was he thinking taking on this project??!! Apparently his ego is now larger than his..... We enjoyed watching his bio documentary. It shows he has a great family and a super value system. Hey stick with what you are good at Guy...food making and being a charming reporter of great eating.
I don't know, I just have trouble taking seriously the recommendations of a guy who thought THAT hair was a good idea...
What does his hair have to do with anything? Are you just sad that you don't have any?
I know what he's looking for – heart disease. The food that this guy eats at every diner, dive, and drive-in he goes to – man! It's a wonder this man is still alive and well.
This guy looks like a jersey shore reject castmate
I dont mind Guy, and think he's be alright in person, but this 5@5 was the worst. He didnt tell us anything we didnt already know.
Characters? Bah. To me it's about the food.
the food at hodads wont disapoint. one of the "best burgers" in the country.
On my bucket list: visit every diner, drive-in and dive from his show.
I watch DDD for the food, but I cannot stand Guy Fieri. The dude is a joke, and seriously annoying.
I have to agree...I had a friend who was doing the same schtick and it got old REALLY fast...
Love him!
winner, winner, chicken dinner! Gotta love Guy!
I know a place in Denver thatthis guy would love. Lincoln's RoadHouse.I extend a standing invite to any of our regs, if you are ever in Denver, let me know and I will take you to lunch.
Get on the internets and find it using the google...
http://www.lincolnsroadhouse.com/
Been there, Done that.
You are absolutely right,
Meet you there for lunch!!!!
One of my fav afternoon hangouts. And now that they have WiFi, I can work from there, though returning phone calls is a little odd, to be talkinig to a vendor with Joe Cocker blering in the background...
I love this guy's show. He is always so nice to the people....
I like the show but I think he lost some credibility doing an Applebys commercial
really? Like John Corbett did? Not in my eyes. Strike while the iron's hot!!!
That Diners drive ins and dives is the coolest job ever!
