While you're frying up some eggs and bacon, we're cooking up something else: a way to celebrate today's food holiday and the most delicious finds on TV. So nice we’ll celebrate twice! December 22 is National Date Nut Bread Day, a mere four months after the first National Date Nut Bread Day on September 8. In 2006, competitive eater Patrick Bertoletti devoured 29 date nut bread and cream cheese sandwiches in eight minutes, topping Joey Chestnut’s 26 sandwiches. As for the rest of us mortal beings, a slice will have to suffice. What's on TV? “You: On a Diet” – Discovery Health, 12 p.m. ET “Emeril Live” – Cooking Channel, 7 p.m. ET “Super Size Me” – Planet Green, 9 p.m. ET “Top Chef” – Bravo, 10 p.m. ET |

AnimalPlanet is running an "I Shouldn't Be Alive" marathon today. I should have about 10 episodes recorded by the time I get off work. I'll be watching that.
Bought and ate some dates in AZ once when I was a teenager. Thought they would be like yummy prunes. Nope. Not a fan of dates.
Unless it's with your sister.
I have dates, nuts and bread in my cube right now....and cream cheese in the kitchen. Now, how do I put them all together?
Slice the bread. Poke holes in it for the nuts and dates. Then spread the cream cheese on top.
National Nut Bread day? Ok. Maybe the ship has a supply of banana nut bread. Cream cheese sounds nice, though.
