5@5 is a daily, food-related list from chefs, writers, political pundits, musicians, actors, and all manner of opinionated people from around the globe.
No food Web site would be complete without the requisite list of the best food-related songs ("Cheeseburgers in Paradise!" "Strawberry Fields Forever!") or top food-related movies ("Tampopo!" "Chocolat!") - but here at Eatocracy, we decided to beat that beat a little further.
By trade, Justin Warner is a captain at The Modern - Danny Meyer’s fine dining restaurant in New York City that holds three stars from the New York Times and one star from the Michelin Guide.
By craft, Warner drops oenophile-themed hip-hop to the food industry masses under his pseudonym, Jdollasign. He's known to spit "Châteauneuf-du-Pape" to the tune of Snoop Dogg's "Drop it Like It's Hot," and engage in epic "Grapes of Rap" battles at food and wine festivals - and now, he's live in studio to share his favorite rhymes with some serious flavor.

This guy was on the 24 hr. Restaurant Battle and I've got to say..he's the biggest hipster doofus I have ever seen in my life. On the show he was nasty and chauvanistic to his adorable girlfriend and he made the term foodie a culinary slur. But hey..he's getting press. The last image you see of J$ on the show was him smacking his lady on the backside as they left the judging. Don't give this guy any love..it will only encourage other D Bags to follow his lead.
There's only one for me: The Fat Boys' "All You Can Eat". Check out the video on YouTube. Classic.
"You Be Illin" – at least after some beat boxer sprays saliva all over your food.
I am soooo waiting for some DJ to have a RAP sucks day at a baseball game so they can declare rap is dead (just like they did in 1979 decalring Disco sucks) and long live rock and roll. Blow up some rap CD's also.

Anyone remember the obscure song 'Me so hungry' from mc pillsbury and 4 large crew? "Sittin' at home watchin' mtv, got my dominoes coupon buy one get one free..."

My personal favorite food rap would have to be Beef Rapp by MF Doom, the album it is from MM Food is all about the eatums. Definitely worth the listen
