While you're frying up some eggs and bacon, we're cooking up something else: a way to celebrate today's food holiday and the most delicious finds on TV.

Well, we do éclair! - October 14 is National Dessert Day.

No need to feel tart as you whisk yourself through the daily routine - slice into the action and cobbler together a sugar-fueled celebration.

Cheesecake, tiramisu, apple pie, oh my! You'll get out of the holiday what you pudding to it.

"Mad Hungry with Lucinda Scala Quinn" - Hallmark Channel, 11 a.m. ET
It's a fall feast of sausage with apples and onions, boiled potatoes and German apple cake.

"Cake Boss" - TLC, 6:30 p.m. ET
Buddy Valastro and team create a wedding cake that is to be filled with live birds.

"Good Eats" - Food Network, 8 p.m. ET
Alton Brown cooks with oats.

"Cook Like an Iron Chef" - Cooking Channel, 10 p.m. ET
Iron Chef Michael Symon faces the secret ingredient: potato.
