Remember back to those halcyon days of oh, say, last week? Back when eating a couple of sunny side up eggs didn't seem like a life gamble on par with a Vegas weekend with Charlie Sheen? How did you order or cook 'em back then? See all egg recall information on Eatocracy and full coverage on CNN Health |

bacon, tomato, pepperjack and swiss omelet
sub sauted baby bella mushrooms for the tomatos when they are on hand.
when I was a kid (before salmonella and such), my mother got some very fresh, just laid eggs. she poked a small hole on the bottom of one, and said tome me- suck on the end of the egg. I did, and it tasted just wonderful–yes, raw egg.
Liquid chicken is good any way you cook it!
Over hard, yolk broken – dusted with fresh ground pepper and a varietal salt selected to compliment the rest of the meal.
Best scrambled eggs – Melt a tablespoon of butter in a small teflon pan. Crack 3 eggs into the pan as if getting ready to fry them over easy. As soon as the whites start to cook, take the pan off the heat and scramble gently. As long as your pan has a heavy enough bottom to retain heat, in about 30 seconds you'll have perfect, creamy, moist scrambled eggs.
over medium...cooked in bacon grease
Basted: 2 eggs cracked in small non-stick pan with melted butter. Add one-half egg shell filled with water to perimeter of pan. Cover on medium. cook till tops are white in color and set. Dip toast into yolk and top toast with portion of egg. Primo!

Hot hard boiled!
Basted (or cooked with a lid on the pan) until "over-easy" doneness. Cooked whites but hot, runny yolk. Yum.
Over Easy!
Where is hard boiled?? That's a standard in my house! It's the perfect way to prepare eggs that are getting close to going bad. (FACT: they peel easier when a little old!) I eat them for any meal of the day, it's the perfect snack!
Scrambled with lots of pepper
i like my eggs over easy on the greasy side. cause hey, im just a regular guy
Raw with protein and cayenne powder.
I thought it was odd that whoever put this poll together omitted "hard-boiled" as an option. Don't a lot of people eat hard-boiled eggs?
I love eggs.
I like them scrambled with cheese and salsa.
From my head down to my legs.
I like them green with ham.
I like them scrambled with my cousin Sam.
I love my green eggs and ham.
You win!
Over medium with cheese on top for special breakfasts and Erin that's good stuff – learned how to cook them that way in college and me and my friends loved it.
Over medium with cheese on top for special breakfasts
Scrambled together with black beans and chili sauce. Then, dump a bunch of Tobasco on just when they're done, and eat on rye toast. Yum.
rye toast is gross
Over medium cut up and mixed with my hashbrowns.
scrambled with a soda on the side.
I didn't see Chugged out of a glass raw...like ROCKY!!!!
Over medium not being an option proves that this site knows nothing about food and people that blog are just dumber than a bag of hammers ,,,,oh wait that’s me! crap!
Over medium mostly...seeing all the comments on over medium, I can't believe it wasn't an option in the quiz. As a child I ate scrambled eggs w/ grape jelly and loved it. I don't think I could do that now. A little too weird.
Chose over-easy, but have recently re-discovered the soft-boiled eggs in cups from childhood in Australia. Ooooey gooey! And what do the Brits call those toast sticks? Soldiers? Plus you get to use egg cups!
I'd like my egg minus the little white chicken embryo thingy, cause I like me chicken well done.
over medium for me
Over medium for me as well!

Eggs Benedict with Maltese Sauce- ...you simply MUST try this!!! Its sooo good!
(Maltese Sauce is basically a hollandaise that has been flavored with the zest and juice of blood oranges)
Coddled eggs with a tiny pat of unsalted butter and a few slivers of prosciutto... serve with earl grey tea, english muffins and fresh strawberries....
I'll take eggs any way. A poached egg over a frisee salad, fried with soft yolk and crispy edges, hard cooked, deviled, omelets, yes please. I think it's very interesting that minutes after the egg recall I received a press release for an egg-washing solution and the next day a "chicken coops for dummies" guide.
interesting...
I have a variety of answers but could only pick one in the poll (over easy). Because that's what I usually end up making (from local farmers' market eggs at least in the summer). Also love omlettes and poached eggs. Soft boiled and hard boiled eggs, or deviled eggs: secret for deviled eggs: add a touch of curry powder...
And by the way, a good melting cheese nearby (and/or seasonings of choice for the day), but NO ketchup on my eggs. EVER.
I like mine either fried with no yolk, or scrambled until they very lightly scorch.
I think a more adequate question is how do you like your nest eggs? If you answered 401K's invested in stock good luck!
Great response!!!
Eggs florentine is a definite guilty pleasure. Gotta have that hollandaise sauce.
Ive always liked hard boiled eggs. So convenient. Easy to eat and no dishes.
Not even a pan? What are you boiling them in? X) Granted, a simple rinse out of the pan afterwards will suffice.
benedict.
quiche!
who the hell cares?? dont you people have lives? lol
obviously you cared enough to respond, you silly goose
fried over medium then crumble crispy bacon on top after the eggs are cut up on the plate.
Scrambled with hot sauce, mushrooms and dill. Sounds weird, but it's good.
And I'm with Jdizzle on this one. Enough with the eggs. I know this is hard, so let's compromise. Could we maybe graduate to chicken? Or how about talking about things that have eggs as ingredients, like quiche? Quiche has eggs AND bacon, so it would be a great way to move forward.
What do you say?
Scrambled firm, to the point of lightly browned in areas, served with ketchup on top.
I order sunnyside up eggs at diners because I find them tough to make. My husband and I are trying to master making poached eggs- it's a process but they are yummy!
Nothing beats a greek omelette with egg beaters.
I like to take a big slice of bread, cut a hole in the middle of the bread, butter both sides, throw it on top of the stove and crack the egg right in the middle of the hole. flip it over without breaking the yolk, throw some cheese on top. Yummmmmm
Step one: Cut a Hole in the box
Step two: Put your junk in tHaT bOx
Step three: make her open that box.
I like my eggs in a multitude of manners... depending on my mood.
Not worried about the egg scare of 2010. My Cuckoo Marans in my backyard flock keep us supplied with 8 – 12 fresh eggs a day.
Over medium egg sandwich. On toasted wheat bread with Frank's hotsauce or jalepenos if you have some.
I take my eggs any way. Scrambled, sunnyside up, over easy, ommlettes. I Like it all
Funny that SPAM was mentioned. I just had some SPAM, egg & cheese breakfast burritos, with picante sauce, the other day. YUMMY!!
(oh, and, like always, the eggs were scrambled firmly)
not a thing wrong with spam, good anytime, wif eggs, on crackers or in a sammich
Egg foo young sounds wonderful! I like them multiple ways: Sunny side up to dip toast into, scrambled with melted cheese, eggs benedict...options are endless. :)
I'm with Amayda....I like pretty much any preparation, except raw.
What about egg salad? Egg foo young? Egg drop soup? "Other" is way too general.
Hi Eggy! A bazillion ways to cook eggs, indeed. We limited to diner-standard egg preparations for breakfast, but we'd love to know your favorites.
I'm with Mildred...Over medium
Over medium... not hard fried but not over easy.
I'm with Mildred and Cliff. Over medium (cooked white, runny yoke).
Me too! Over medium, so the white is solid but the yolk is runny ( and then you soak it up with toast).
Yeah, I was looking for that option as well.
over medium for me too. cooked, but still enough runny yoke to wipe my toast in it – yummy!
Yes over medium but has to be as a sandwich with crispy bacon and cheese or sausage and chees and best on multi grain pannini. Otherwise scrambled or and omelet.
Absolutely! I love a good medium egg, where some of the yolk is firm but there's still some runny that I can soak up with toast.
More egg stuff? C'mon! Tommorow let's talk about SPAM or something.
We are temporarily changing our name to Eggtocracy.
bleh to spam. so greasy.
Over medium with broke yolk, sprinkled with minced onion and chedder cheese.
Spam cut into matchsticks, stir fried in EVO with garlic, broccoli, and crushed red pepper, served over cavatelli with Parmesan cheese.
