Every weekday, we're highlighting a local or regional blogger we think you ought to know about. We can’t be everywhere at once, so we look to these passionate eaters, cooks and writers to keep us tapped into every facet of the food world. Consider this a way to get to know a blog’s taste buds, because, well, you should. Meet today's featured bloggers and blog:
My name's Jen and I write the blog Tiny Urban Kitchen. As the name implies, I live in a tiny urban condo in Cambridge, Massachusetts outfitted with a tiny urban kitchen. I began cooking in tiny spaces back in college when, without a kitchen, I managed to make complete meals inside my dorm room with just a rice cooker (hey, all Asians have one), a single burner, and a hot water boiler. Now that I actually have a kitchen (albeit tiny), I continue to experiment in the kitchen, cataloging the results in this blog. This is all very natural for me because I worked as a research chemist for years synthesizing new molecules in the lab. In general, I love exploring, teaching, and experiencing; I am not afraid to try new things! Which brings me to the other half of the blog: eating! I love eating, and am very willing to travel for good food! Accordingly, Tiny Urban Kitchen is also dedicated to my takes on my various eating adventures, whether in Boston or around the world. Do you read a local blog that you'd like to see featured? Send 'em our way for a chance in the spotlight. |
