Definition: A piece of equipment, similar to a double boiler, used to gently heat foods or keep food warm, consisting of a pot containing the food to be heated that fits into a larger pot that holds water to be used as a heating source. The smaller pot is typically partially immersed in the water as it is heated (unlike in a double boiler)
